The Database
All Ta-PRO content is organized around one central element: the Oracle 10g Express Edition Database (better known as Oracle Database XE). Running on both Microsoft Windows and Linux machines, the database provides XML storage capabilities and can handle XML data from import and export operations, conveniently connecting to any other database system.

The Repository
Located inside the Oracle database, the Ta-PRO repository stores and maintains data in an organized manner. The content management and versioning system ensures that data is continuously maintained; all actions are logged for audit trail. Ta-PRO repository can store any type of document (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, et cetera).

The Portal
Ta-PRO content is published to a Java based web portal, allowing secure access from inside corporate LAN/VPN or from Internet. Taking advantage of the proven reliability of the Apache Tomcat web server, the Ba-PRO portal provides a graphical representation for the repository content. The homepage has been designed as the application control center: users log in to examine tax risks using the Risk Analysis Matrix or the Tax Risk Overview table, or to study the hierarchical relationships between certain entities using the Organization Chart or the Map representation. Custom reports can be generated directly from homepage, using any information stored in the repository. Data published on the homepage is continuously updated to allow real time information processing and to support decision making processes.
